I am a practising commercial and sports lawyer. I act for sportsmen from many sporting disciplines but particularly rugby and America's Cup yachting. Having acted as a manager and agent for rugby players for over 14 years, I am able to provide a depth of advice - whether in contracts, salary negotiations or placement into clubs or provinces in New Zealand or overseas. I enjoy the relationship with players and particularly being able to assist in their professional development. Being a lawyer, I am able to offer add-on services in areas such as property purchases, family trust and business transactions. I charge fees for my work only on an agreed basis per job. I was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 1999. Since that time I have specialised in Sports and Employment law having worked at leading law firms in New Zealand as well as having a stint in Essentially’s (formerly GSM) London office. Although I am now based in Essentially’s Auckland office, I regularly travel throughout New Zealand and Europe to service our client’s needs. In the 8 years I have worked in the sporting field in NZ and the UK, I have built up experience in the areas of contract negotiations, sponsorship matters, judicial hearings (mainly on-field citings) and the European market.

I am a graduate of the BMS degree (Marketing and Human Resource Management) from the University of Waikato. As a founding Director of Inside Running I have built up considerable knowledge and understanding of the rugby landscape both in NZ and abroad. I relate well to others and thoroughly enjoy assisting our clients with their careers both on and off the field. Inside Running has offices in Auckland and Mt Maunganui and represent clients across New Zealand.

Qualified as a barrister and solicitor ( BA/LLB (hons) ) I worked as a solicitor with Gallaway Cook Allan for 13 years specializing in sports law before joining Essentially Group full time. I have represented players since 1995 in all areas from contract negotiation, sponsorship, judicial hearings (both on field citings and drug matters) to general advice affecting both a players rugby career and life affairs. I work closely with the NZRU and the NZ Provincial Unions. Our company is a global business to ensure we can service the needs of players when they decide to pursue off shore options.
Dean McKenzie
Qualifications & Experience
Based in Christchurch with over 15 years experience in the Sports and Entertainment industry and nearly 20 years as a Chartered Accountant, I have a strong commercial background, proven negotiation skills and access to an international sports management network. I hold a BA in Economics and BCom in Accounting from Otago University, a Masters Degree in Sports Administration and Facility Management from Ohio University (USA) and was also Chief Executive at Jade Stadium from 2002 until 2006. As South Island Director of World in Motion NZ Limited I am personally committed to offering a professional and comprehensive service to all our clients.
Bruce Sharrock

Based in Auckland with over 14 years experience in sports management I have an extensive knowledge of both the NZ Rugby Union Players Collective and NRL Players Contracts. Prior to this I spent 10 years in the corporate financial sector as well as partnering a successful national retail chain. I have proven commercial experience, strong negotiation skills and comprehensive knowledge of the NZ and international rugby landscape and structure. I am committed to providing proactive and professional services to all my clients. I am a director of World in Motion NZ Ltd who provide professional athlete management services both domestically and internationally.
Mike Rogers

I am a graduate of the BMS degree (Accounting) from the University of Waikato and I am also a founding Director of Inside Running. I have five years of experience working in the professional rugby arena and during this time I have built up considerable experience and understanding of the industry and its complexities. I enjoy building personal relationships with my clients and see this as critical in ensuring that we can provide a quality service with a focus on professional development. I am based in Mt Maunganui, we have offices here and in Auckland and we represent clients across New Zealand.

With 14 years experience in sports management and with a Masters Degree in Business I am able to support clients as an experienced negotiator and sports manager. I see it as vitally important to act in an ethical and realistic manner, to obtain the best options and solutions for my clients whilst they are involved with rugby and after they have finished playing. I am highly innovative and provide my clients with a competitive edge in all contracts, placements, endorsements and associated personal development matters. I am a Director of Point Sport Management (NZ) Ltd which is part of the global connected Point Sports Management network.
Brad Mooar
Qualifications & Experience
In addition to being a Director of Point Sports Management I am a Partner of Cavell Leitch Law. I played rugby for a number of years in New Zealand, Spain and London; finishing my player career in 2004 to commence involvement in rugby as a coach. Since 2007 I have been coaching the Christchurch Football Club's team in the premier Christchurch competition. As a practising solicitor, former player and current coach I am ideally placed to be able to use my contractual and negotitation skills and worldwide sporting contacts and experience to advise, manage and work with our clients in all aspects of their needs. I am committed to being proactive and ethical for our clients to get results that suit them and their goals.
Craig Innes

I am a founding director of World In Motion Ltd, a company I formed with Bruce Sharrock in 2001.
As a result of having played as a professional for over a twelve year period in both Rugby codes I pride myself on being able to identify directly with our clients and have a clear understanding of what is required to pursue and succeed in Rugby as a career option. During my time as a professional footballer I identified the need for young athletes to surround themselves with good people and sound advice, these being the two key elements that drove me to enter the sports management industry. I have a wealth of local industry knowledge as well as vast experience within the international rugby market which is key to my role as Director of International Operations with World In Motion Ltd. I travel to Japan regularly to maintain contact with our clients, the close-knit Rugby community of corporate teams and their management as I do for our colleagues in the UK, France and others major markets.
