About the NZRPA

The New Zealand Rugby Players' Association Incorporated, ("the NZRPA") was founded in July 1999 and is based in Auckland, New Zealand. NZRPA's membership is made up of New Zealand's current, overseas based and past professional rugby players, being those who play or played in the Air New Zealand Cup (or NPC) and Rebel Sport Super 14 competitions, and includes All Blacks, Junior All Blacks, New Zealand Maori and New Zealand Sevens players.

The NZRPA was borne out of a recognition by the players of the need to become organised, take responsibility for themselves and actively contribute to the development of the game. The NZRPA is the players' own independent body collectively representing them on a wide range of issues and initiatives.
