Key Focus Areas

The NZRPA's key focus areas include:

• Ensuring the best possible Professional Rugby Environment for the players, including management of the Collective Employment Agreement and related initiatives
• Joint management (with the NZRU) of the Professional Development Program which aims to support, guide and assist the players in their personal and professional development by working with them to identify and navigate their pathways to success (both on and off the field)
• Establishment and ongoing development of the NZRPA Alumni Program covering overseas based and past players
• Delivery of the NZRPA Young Player Educational Program
• Mangaging and continuing to develop the NZRPA Benevolent and Welfare Fund 
• Managing an effective and efficient communication, support and advisory network for players
• Developing Business Partner relationships that assist the NZRPA to achieve its objectives
• Managing and supporting the International Rugby Players' Association (IRPA) to achieve its objectives
• Provide professional player input into the development and management of the game of rugby in a unified and co-ordinated manner
