NZRPA Objectives
The objectives of the NZRPA under its constitution are as follows:

To conserve, promote, advance and protect the interests and welfare of members in New Zealand, and elsewhere.

To establish, maintain and promote a communication structure between the members and the NZRU

To support prospective members in understanding the obligations and requirements of rugby playing and promotional contracts, and allied issues.
- To act as an independent body with the members' concerns foremost.
- To act as a contact point for the members and as a unified voice of the members in respect of player issues.
- To provide advice to members about professional sporting and sponsorship contracts.
- To provide advice and assistance to members about professional welfare and career development.
- To undertake projects both in New Zealand and internationally to advance the interests of members.
- To establish an international network to enable members to have an input in international decision making in matters affecting rugby union.
- To partake generally in issues relating to the game of rugby union including matters involving the laws and rules of the game.
