Ruby Tui

Ruby Tui needs little introduction, one of the world's leading sevens players, Ruby Tui is an Olympic gold and silver medalist, having won gold with the New Zealand women’s sevens team at Tokyo 2020 and silver at Rio 2016.
 
Tui has been a regular fixture in the New Zealand women's sevens team since being discovered in the Go4Gold campaign in 2012. Her dogged defence and turn of pace are key attributes of her game.
 
She was a member of the team which won a Rugby World Cup Sevens title in 2018. She was named New Zealand women's sevens Player of the Year in 2017 and World Rugby Sevens player of the Year in 2019.
 
Following Sevens, Tui returned to the fifteens game and was selected for the Black Ferns for the first time in 2022. Tui played the XVs game at the start of her career before joining the Ponsonby Fillies in 2020 and going on to be top try scorer in the Farah Palmer Cup for Counties Manukau. Tui was a part of the Rugby World Cup Championship side in 2022. 
 
Off the field, Tui is a regular contributor in the SKY TV commentary booth, is a passionate advocate for mental health, and an accomplished writer with the publication of her two books, Straight Up and Little Ruby and Friends.
