Kirton, Wolfgramm and Kingi recognised in Kings Birthday Honours

Congratulations to Earle Kirton (All Black #645), Vania Wolfgramm (née Lavea, Black Fern #115) and Lisa Kingi of the New Zealand Rugby Foundation, who have been recognised in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours for their outstanding service and contribution to rugby.

Earle Kirton has been appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM). The former All Black, selector and Wellington coach is renowned for a rugby career defined by exceptional talent, remarkable resilience and a lasting contribution to the game through coaching and selection.

Vania Wolfgramm (née Lavea) has been appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for services to rugby. A former Black Fern and Black Ferns Sevens representative, she has been a driving force in the development of women’s and Pacific rugby, while also breaking new ground as one of New Zealand rugby’s first Pasifika women analysts in broadcasting.

Lisa Kingi has been appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for services to rugby, particularly player welfare. As Chief Executive of the New Zealand Rugby Foundation, she has championed lifelong support for seriously injured rugby players and their whānau, while advocating for safer and more inclusive rugby environments.
