Chris McIvor

Chris McIvor brings more than 25 years’ experience across sport, community, and youth development into his role as a Personal Development Manager. His career has spanned schools, regional and national sporting organisations, and not-for-profits, with a consistent focus on leadership, wellbeing, and helping people become the best version of themselves. He has held senior roles across multiple sports and organisations, building strong capability in leadership, strategy, governance, funding, and people development.

Alongside his PDM role with Hawke’s Bay Rugby, Chris founded and leads the MACA Sports Leadership Charitable Trust, which delivers youth employment initiatives and health and wellbeing programmes across secondary and tertiary education settings. Drawing on this experience, Chris supports players with a grounded, values-led approach, walking alongside them as they identify their potential and take ownership of their growth on and off the field. Based in Hawke’s Bay, he remains deeply connected to his community and committed to creating positive outcomes for young people.
