David Kirk is a former New Zealand rugby union player best known for having been the captain of the All Blacks when they won the inaugural Rugby World Cup in 1987. A medical doctor, Rhodes Scholar and former parliamentary advisory, David was awarded an MBE in the 1998 New Year Honours for services to rugby.
David has held many senior roles in a variety of organisations including CEO of Fairfax Media and Chairman of Trade Me. He continues to sit on several boards and is a trustee of several charities. The author of two books was inducted into the IRB Hall of Fame in 2011.
