I am a barrister in private law practice throughout New Zealand and at times internationally. My work in the law, in sport in NZ and internationally has grown considerably over 30 years. I provide legal strategic advice to national and international umbrella sporting bodies. I provide broad legal, governance and commercial advice to a number of New Zealand's high profile national sporting organisations, athletes and support professionals. I represent as an agent and manager a number of New Zealand and Australian athletes across codes. I am an accredited agent with NZRPA. My work with and for rugby union players in NZ and internationally in particular but also from other sports/codes includes all their image rights positioning, their employment player contracts, their commercial endorsement opportunities and when required their sports judiciary attendances. I have significant experience as a mediator particularly in sport. The two most recent successful and publicly reported meditations are the resolution of the NZ Rugby League v Auckland Rugby League $30m dispute. I was New Zealand''s inaugural appointee to the International Cricket Councils Appeals Commission and Corruption Commission. I am a New Zealand and Wellington Code of Conduct Commissioner since the Cricket World Cup in NZ and Australia 1992. I have been a Ministerial appointee on a number of Ministerial Advisory panels in areas such as Drugs and Anti-doping initiatives nationally and internationally.
