Henry Bates

Qualified with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Physical Education and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2009. Following my admission to the Bar, I worked as a Junior Crown Counsel in Auckland where I practiced criminal and civil litigation. As a player manager at Halo Sport I represent and advise athletes (both rugby and cricket) on a wide-range of on and off-field matters and specialise in contract negotiation, player placement, sponsorship/commercial matters and judicial/misconduct procedures. My advocacy experience is invaluable when representing sporting clients. I have extensive knowledge of the New Zealand domestic and global rugby market and I am able to utilize Halo Sport comprehensive global network when players are looking to explore off-shore opportunities. I am based in Halo Sport's Auckland office and travel around New Zealand regularly to service Halo Sport's current and prospective clients.
